CHRISTIAN HAGER
E. Christian Hager is currently Vice President of Sales & Business Development at Fend Incorporated, a manufacturer of one-way communication diodes that help enable secure advanced remote monitoring of industrial control systems across critical infrastructure.
Previously, Mr. Hager has lead significant business development programs & projects in cybersecurity, global satellite communications, advanced medical (surgical) devices, and international banking.
He spends a considerable amount of time advocating new technological applications in cyber physical security to members of the OT/ ICS/ SCADA communities in order to advance cyber risk awareness. He holds an advanced degree in international business administration and law.
MARC-OLIVER GUERIN
Marc Guerin is the Vice President of Enero Solutions, a leading engineering company operating in the US, Canada, and Europe. With 16 years of experience in optimizing process performance in many industries, particularly in energy systems like boilers, cogeneration, and turbines, Marc has established himself as an expert in the field. Enero Solutions offers engineering services, training, simulations, advanced control solutions and industrial data solutions to help clients achieve their business objectives.
COLIN DUNN
Colin Dunn is founder and CEO of Fend Incorporated where he leads a team focused on safely bringing critical infrastructure into the industrial internet of things. In previous roles, Mr. Dunn worked as an engineer and consultant to help clients including the Department of Defense, General Services Administration, and commercial clients. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration.
ADAM TOMLINSON
Adam Tomlinson, a native of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, is Republican Staff Director of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee for Ranking Member Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV). Prior to joining the committee staff in January 2021, he was Senator Capito’s Legislative Director from 2012 through 2021. Adam was previously an attorney at Steptoe & Johnson in Charleston, West Virginia. He also worked from 2002 to 2007 for then Representative Capito in the House of Representatives as a legislative staffer focusing primarily on energy, environment, and infrastructure policy. Adam is a graduate of American University and the West Virginia University College of Law where he was the senior managing editor of the West Virginia Law Review
GERARDO LARA
Gerardo Lara has been in the boiler business since 1992 when he joined CERREY (CE Monterrey) in Mexico and worked on miscellaneous package and field erected boiler projects including some for USA and the Middle East, his last position with that company was as a project manager for 2-750 KPPH field erected units. He moved to the USA in 1996 to work for ABCO Industries as their I&C Manager, then joined Rentech Boiler Systems, Inc. (Abilene, TX) in 2001. Gerardo was hired as the Process Equipment and Controls Chief Engineer who supervised detail engineering for buyouts such as burners, fans, deaerators, controls, instrumentation and boiler trim and other miscellaneous equipment. He established the field service department for the company and did much field troubleshooting of boiler systems gaining experience of how boilers actually perform (emissions, capacity, steam purity, vibration etc). He made a career change in 2007 becoming a Senior Sales Engineer/Canadian Territory Manager for Rentech. In 2016 he was promoted to his current position of V.P. of Fired Boiler Sales. He has responsibility for basic design, proposal and estimating groups for all packaged and partially field erected boiler sales.
JON BACKLUND
Jon Backlund has worked since 2013 for Rentech Boiler Systems, Inc. (Abilene, TX), the current domestic leader in the industrial package boiler market. His responsibilities include technical proposal preparation and presentation, contracts review and negotiation, and occasional in-house combustion consultant. He was previously vice president of sales for three years at ALZETA Corporation, specializing in ultra-low NOx surface combustion technology. Prior to that, he spent thirty years with Coen Company, holding positions as project engineer, product manager, executive vice president, and chief operating officer. He has extensive experience with large scale industrial combustion process in many furnace types, with conventional fossil fuels and other fuels such as refinery gas, biogas, landfill gas, hydrogen, coke oven gas, pyrolysis gas and more. He is well-versed with low and ultra-low NOx combustion techniques and is knowledgeable about current and legacy industrial boiler types, including package boilers and supplementary fired HRSG’s in CHP and combined cycle applications.
NICHOLAD (NIKO) MCMURRAY
Niko McMurray is the Managing Director of International and Nuclear Policy at ClearPath. In this role, he leads the development and execution of ClearPath’s international and nuclear policy portfolios to advance the organization’s mission and vision.
Niko serves as a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee (CINTAC), the Keystone Energy Board, the E4 Carolinas Southeast Nuclear Industry Advisory Council, and represents ClearPath before multiple other industry groups.
Before joining ClearPath, Niko was a Materials Engineer at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). While at the NRC, he developed and provided technical guidance on materials, component integrity, and licensing topics for new and advanced nuclear reactors.
Niko holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University.
