Speaker Biographies
Amanda Jennings, Managing Consultant, Trinity Consultants
Amanda Jennings is a Managing Consultant in Trinity’s Westerville, Ohio, office and provides air quality support for several industries in Ohio, including but not limited to, petroleum refining/distribution, chemical manufacturing, surface coating, asphalt processing/shingle manufacturing, and fiberglass and foam insulation manufacturing. She graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. Amanda has completed numerous projects over her 19 years of consulting experience ranging from minor and major source state construction permit to install (PTI) or permits to install and operate (PTIO) applications, Fee Emissions Reports (FERs), emissions inventories, Toxic Release Inventory Reports (TRIs), Title V operating permit renewal and modification applications, MACT and GACT general consulting/compliance assistance, and regulatory applicability analyses. Also, she routinely teaches Trinity’s Strategic Air Permitting in Ohio training course.
Renee Hoyos, Principal Consultant, Project Manager, ERM
Renee has more than 20 years of community engagement experience working to increase community involvement in local decision making as well as education community leaders on public processes, rules and regulations, and how to navigate those processes.
Most recently, Renee managed and wrote significant portions of a Community Benefits plan for a project in Texas and subsequently prepared the Project team for their successful DOE interview resulting in an award of $282.9M.
Previously, Renee created the first Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) at the Virginia DEQ. In this role, she both improved external relationships between EJ communities, Virginia Tribal Nations and the DEQ, and brought VA EJScreen+ to life, as well as writing the first state Tribal Consultation Guidance. Renee has experience in the political realm and spent the first part of her career in watershed, business, and policy roles with the University of California – Davis and the California Natural Resources Agency.
Christine Davis , Partner-in-charge, ERM
With more than 30 years of strategic communications and public affairs experience, Christine’s focus is collaborating with clients to mitigate social risks and impacts, secure permits in a timely manner and enhance their long-term operating reputation by fostering inclusive public participation and connecting in meaningful ways with community leaders and other stakeholders and rightsholders important to their success. She helps clients earn trust by communicating early and often to avoid project delays, added costs and reputational damage caused by public concern and outrage. She tailors strategies and tactics to guide clients toward their desired business outcomes. Christine has extensive experience tailoring strategic communication and community outreach plans for wide-ranging project scopes, issues, geographies, and sectors, including diversified energy, mining, and manufacturing.
