Speaker Biographies
Stacey Edwards , Energy Transition Program Manager, Cornell University
Stacey was recently named “Energy Transition Program Manager” overseeing the transition to fossil fuel free Utilities at Cornell University. She has 25 years experience at Cornell University, all in the Utilities Department as both a Plant Engineer and a Project Manager. Recent projects include package boiler installations, controls upgrades, various renewal projects. She has managed the Central Energy Plants Water Treatment program since 1999. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California Davis.
Cheryl Brown , Director for Environmental Compliance and Hazardous Waste Services, Cornell University
Cheryl Brown currently works at Cornell University in the Environment, Health & Safety Department as the Director for Environmental Compliance and Hazardous Waste Services. She has worked at Cornell for 22 years, primarily supporting environmental engineering and compliance support for the Utilities functions at Cornell’s main campus in Ithaca, New York. She holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jessica Urdangarian , Partner Sustainability, ERM
Jessica has more than 20 years of experience in strategy development and execution. She specializes in materiality assessments, where she focuses on engaging stakeholders to prioritize the most relevant environmental, social, and governance topics for her clients. Jessica has been supporting clients with the transition from traditional materiality assessment into double materiality and CSRD-aligned double materiality. She has led and advised on more than 40 strategic materiality assessments across client sectors, leveraging her strategy and facilitation expertise to provide evidence for clients to make informed decisions. She co-leads ERM’s CSRD-aligned double materiality methodology development for non-EU-based companies and has worked with six US-headquartered clients on CSRD materiality and disclosure projects.
Prior to ERM, Jessica was the Vice President of Strategy, Planning & Analysis at a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer (since acquired by Cardinal Health). Jessica holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, an M.B.A. with Distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and an M.S. in Resource Policy & Behavior from the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability.

Darren is the VP of Sales for NLine Energy, with responsibility for the Western United States.

With more than 22-years’ direct experience in power generation; his industry knowledge encompasses all aspects of the manufacturing life cycle from being a hands-on shop floor specialist, running a manufacturing company of >250 people, managing the North American business unit of a world-leading UK-based hydropower turbine company, to thermal energy recovery in his current role at NLine Energy.

Joanne is the VP of Sales for NLine Energy, for Eastern United States (PA, NJ and south).

Joanne’s been in the steam industry providing steam specialty products and systems for over 29 years. She began her career at Spirax Sarco and then to Watson McDaniel before coming onboard with NLine Energy back in March 2024.
Her experience and expertise spans from engineering and design to servicing and troubleshooting steam systems. All of which will help her succeed in her current role at NLine Energy.
